Lee Houston, Junior

Lee Houston, Junior (or Jr., depending upon the whims of the cover letterer) has been a writer and editor practically his entire adult life. After years of creating filler material for community newspapers, he’s now exploring various genres within New Pulp, beginning with Pro Se Press since the company’s inception in 2010 as the writer-creator of Hugh Monn, Private Detective and Alpha the superhero. He wrote several short stories and served as story editor for their Fantasy and Fear and Pro Se Presents magazines.

While his complete bibliography can be found on his Amazon author’s page, Lee’s other credits include creating the Secret Samaritan known as Solitaire and various short stories for Airship 27, contributing to and co-editing the Super Swingin’ Hero 1968 Special with Jim Beard from Mechanoid Press, editing Victoria Pagac’s comic book mini-series Raye Knight: Spellbound from Indy Planet, and serving as the Editor-In-Chief of The Free Choice E-zine (www.thefreechoice.info) since 2005. In what he laughing refers to as his “spare” time, Lee is an avid reader of classic pulps, science-fiction, detective/mystery stories, fantasy, and comic books.

Besides his Filling Blank Spaces writer’s blog (http://leehoustonjr.blogspot.com) he also maintains contact with readers via Facebook, Twitter, and finds it hard to talk about himself in the third person.
